Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RevizionBot ("the Service"). By creating an account or using RevizionBot, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

RevizionBot is an AI-powered revision platform providing spec-aligned lessons, smart flashcards, mock exams, and an AI tutor for CCEA GCSE students in Northern Ireland. Features may change over time as we improve the product.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RevizionBot. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these Terms. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account. Notify us immediately at hello@revizionbot.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Some features require a paid subscription ("RevizionBot Pro").
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as shown at checkout. Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial periods except where required by UK consumer law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the platform.
Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights.
Abuse the AI features (e.g. attempting to extract training data or circumvent safety filters).
Share your subscription access with others who have not paid.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Intellectual property

All content on RevizionBot — including the platform design, spec-aligned lesson content, and AI-generated materials — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce or distribute it without written permission.

Content you upload (e.g. notes for flashcard generation) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service.

7. AI-generated content

Responses from the AI Tutor and exam marking features are generated automatically and may contain errors. They are intended as a revision aid, not a guarantee of exam performance. Always cross-reference with your official CCEA specification.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that AI-generated content is always accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect losses arising from use of RevizionBot.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and England & Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email or via a notice on the platform. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
